Ecologically Responsible

Dr. Temple Grandin, renowned Professor of Animal Science at Colorado State designed the DemKota Ranch Beef receiving barn which is fully enclosed with heated and cool floors.  In addition, we received 100% rating in humane animal treatment in a Good Manufacturing Practices Audit by an accredited third-party.  Further, the facility is designed to minimize the impact on the surrounding community and environment.  The facility is located in the center of best cattle region of the United States, allowing cattle to be primarily sourced from within a 200 mile radius, compared with the typical 600 mile radius of mega-plant competitors.  This shorter transportation distance lowers stress and bruising, resulting in significant freight cost reductions and higher quality products.
